Here are the new guidelines for league starting in January

Following the success of last years league we are coming into 2017 with a brand new league with a few changes to overhaul the league completely!

First of all, Dabbla will be joining the league team. This will be a great help to sirsnap.

With the addition of Dabbla on the league team, we will be more consistent with scheduling tourneys with regularity in different time slots.

NEW FEATURES

• More Points up for grabs from higher places - Previously you had to get to the final table or finish 1st,2nd or 3rd to get some points. That has now changed. Points will now be awarded to the top 12 people! See below for the new points system.

• MVP Points - Every tournament there is someone who defies the odds and makes a great comeback or who just simply plays fantastic throughout the whole thing. This one is for you! At the end of each tournament, Sirsnap will now pick who he feels was the MVP for either a great comeback or had a great tournament to be the tournament MVP this will give you a small amount of bonus points. Please Note You cannot win this and be in 1st place. You must be 2nd place or below to win this extra bonus.

• AFK Penalty - We have been watching and have noticed how much you hate it when people go away during tournaments and still collect some points. From now on if you are A) Kicked from the tournament by the system or B) Removed from the tournament by a CA for inactivity you will gain an AFK penalty! This will cost you points and of course you will not receive the points for playing either. Please note: If you have something that happens in real life and are forced to go away which results in you being kicked please let on of the league management CAs know ASAP so they can decide if the penalty should still apply.

• Bounty Points - bonus points awarded for taking out a bountied player. This will not be available in every tournament. Watch the schedule for tourneys that have these bonus points.
  

PROCEDURES

If you don't use this link, there is the possibility that you will not get signed up. Remember if you have signed up previously, you DO NOT need to sign up again. I will move you over month to month. Only contact me if you want to be removed.
   
2. League schedule will be posted on Sunday evening before the week. We will try to have 2 tournaments a day available for league play. If there is a cancellation, we will try to then add a tournament somewhere in the week. Schedules are determined based on several aspects, one of which is population online. If there are sudden changes in league play, watch global. You are responsible for keeping up with information. In the event that the changes are very sudden, we will try every way possible to make sure something is announced in global. So it is very important that the 15 minutes leading up to a league tournament, you are watching global chat.
   
3. Prizes are as follows.

Most 3rd place finishes – 500k chips

Most 2nd place finishes – 1 mil chips

Most 1st place finishes – 2 mil chips


Highest point avg - 1 mil chips


5th place with winner of 50 cp

4th place with winner of 100 cp

3rd place with winner of 150 cp

2nd place with winner of 200 cp

1st place with winner of 250 cp


4. It is extremely important that you bookmark this page and check it regularly. In the event of changes and updates, this is where the information will be posted. Make it your responsibility and don't rely on someone else.

5. With the increase in tournaments with bounties available for you and the larger size in tourneys, your help in letting us know who took your bounty is invaluable. Thanks so much for this.

6. Above all, this league is about fun and participation. It does not take precedence over existing tournaments. There may be tournaments added for fun during the month.

RULES -

1. If you sign up and are booted because you are away, points are nullified. This will be watched even more closely this session. Along this line, if an away player makes it so far without getting booted and will keep someone else from getting a prize, We will boot the player. This session away players will also receive penalties. Please see new AFK information above.

2. In the event you are chat banned, you will be ineligible for tournaments during the banned period.

3. if you have an issue with anything that has to do with any outcome, bring this to the league management team's attention either in PM or Whisper. Continued complaining or discussion in global will result in removal from league. This league is about fun, participation, and camaraderie.

4. Bounties – this is not a poker site. This is a casino site. These are not bounty tournaments. They are tournaments with bounties. While I know how bounties work at official poker sites, in this league with limited ability to monitor tables, winner of hand and main pot claims bounty. The bounty is not given to the relevant pot winner. This was explained in more detail in October poker league post. I will post this information again if needed.

5. You will now notice on the spreadsheet there is a section "League 1v1 Games". This has been put into the league to give people a chance to gamble some points , it is NOT compulsory. You can challenge Chelsea, sirsnap, or Dabbla for bonus points.

How it works :

You can challenge us directly. We will then create and join a Heads up table (1v1) at a very low buy in at turbo speed. If you win the heads up match you gain a bonus 10 points , however if you lose then we will subtract 10 points from you. In order to make it so you cant gain too much advantage or disadvantage this is capped at a maximum allowed challenges of 4 per month.

6. New Points System:

1st Place - 100 Points

2nd Place - 75 Points

3rd Place - 50 Points

4th Place - 25 Points

5th Place - 15 Points

6th Place - 10 Points

7th-12th Place - 7 Points

12-18th Place - 5 Points (Only if tournament has 30+ Players)

MVP - 10 Points

AFK - Negative 10 points and a ban from the next league tournament

7. New Betting System -

You can now bet on an player in the league who you think will do well and try to win yourself some extra chips. The odds for all players are different based on the last league and general gameplay.

You will be able to bet on the following things.

- In the top 5 at the end of week 1

- In the top 5 at the end of week 2

- In the top 5 at the end of week 3

- Overall Winner at the end of the month

- Top 3 at the end of the month

- Most MVP Wins

Every different player in the league has been assigned odds. You can place bets on other players and if you are correct then you will your bet amount multiplied by the odds given to that player/

For Example if you bet 1 million chips on someone who has 5/1 odds then you will win 5million plus your bet so a total of 6 million. Winning bets will not be payed out immediately. They will be payed out regularly though.
