What do you think of the new forums?
Ooh, going to take some getting used to! But hey I managed to reply to a post so it can't be all bad
So far so good. I like the layout of the main page and the posts. From the main page it is a good way for people who may only play one game to see what's going on in the others. Are there no more ways to subscribe to forums topics or will you have to resubscribe to ones previously subscribed to? I could be missing them, but I don't see the moderator forum anymore either.

You currently get auto-subscribed, I haven't finished setting up the subscription management page yet, but it is coming back.
I miss the post spy but am sure we will get used to this and adjust, it is always hard when there is something new

I was under the impression nobody actually used that. It may make a return in some form if there's enough desire for it.

They are actually quite a bit faster, the real-world performance has been measured from servers around the globe and consistently shows better performance than the old forums.
I'm talking about the whole page - scrolling up and down - it's slow to respond and you can't get out of it unless you hit the back or go to games - nothing on top of screen

Yes, I checked post spy every time I logged on. It was the quickest way to see if I missed anything important while I was gone.

On another note, I'm seeing more negative votes than positive. Anyone care to explain why that is so that we can improve on the problems you are having?
Also having been hearing that people don't like how it almost appears to take you to another site, poker is gone and you have to reload the page to get back to it. Just not very user friendly I guess. You could just opened a new tab just for the forum I guess, but some didn't even want to come comment because of it
This is the same place that all of your notices, login, and account settings are as well. GoldFire Network holds all of the non-game features. There is a link right back to PokerRPG and BC Wars from every page.
Yes it takes me out of rpg..so now I have to reload in again. I liked Post Spy.

It is no different than going from one page in PokerRPG to another. This just has different colors and a different domain the address bar.
Except there are no links to any pages at Poker. The only choice is to head back to your profile page from the chat bar, which isn't all that handy at drop time (especially on my iPod, the chat bar doesn't work so smoothly there). Plus, I am used to getting to see all of the categories, and now I can only see three and I have to scroll to see Poker at all. And all the links I had don't work anymore, like to the new player guide which I used to post in chat when I'd see new accounts online (New player guide http://pokerrpg.com/forum/topic/3758) or to threads for tournaments etc.
On the plus side, I love the new editing and BB Code being shown the door.
Any way you can incorporate the page navigations on both the top and bottom of the page?

I agree with these. I have a complete exclusive item thread and in the main post on it i had links to go to specific posts within the thread to avoid having to scroll through the entire thread. Is there a new way to do this? As well, with the Forum categories can you list them in columns instead of rows and have the games as the top 3 columns then put general and what not below that?

Thank's mm, I am so bad at explaining things and didn't know how to put it so James would understand but you nailed it. Twitch also has good ideas
